I am a Birthlight Teacher and these are specialised yoga classes completely
centered around pregnancy and birth. They are small groups with lots of
personal attention and are suitable for those who are new to yoga as well as
the more experienced.
I use gentle and safe yoga movements, breathing exercises and relaxation to
encourage a relaxed and healthy pregnancy and help prepare you physically,
mentally, emotionally and spiritually for giving birth.
These classes are lively and fun offering a variety of postures and movement
as well as a place for relaxation and quiet reflection with time to get in
touch with yourself and your baby.
They are a great opportunity to meet other pregnant women in a supportive,
friendly and positive environment.
I work with improving posture, increasing energy, developing strength and
suppleness, practising effective breathing, making more space for your
growing baby, addressing special ailments and relieving discomfort,
releasing stress and anxiety, movement/positions/breathing for labour and
birth, relaxation and enjoyment of your pregnancy.
The sessions can help you to develop a calm strength and trust in your own
body and your own power, even if you feel fearful and apprehensive
initially. Yoga can help you find balance, reconnect with your instincts and
intuition and develop confidence as you experience the transition from woman
to mother.
Yoga quietens the mind, allowing you to feel more peaceful within yourself.
It is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your pregnancy and prepare for
the challenges ahead with calm strength and confidence.

You need to be a minimum of 16 weeks pregnant to begin classes and can
continue up to your due date if fit and well. I advise you to gain your
doctor’s or midwife’s permission before joining classes. Please
