This is a fun 10 Week Course for mother and baby together, in a friendly and supportive environment.

The class begins with 15-20 minutes of Postnatal Yoga for you, using postures to gradually and gently help you to regain physical strength and tone your muscles. This is also a chance to enjoy relaxation and renew your energy.

Your baby is next to you, lying on a cushion and you are free to pick her/him up and feed, change and cuddle him/her at any time.

The rest of the hour is Baby Yoga. This is a lovely opportunity to bond with your baby – special time together, focussed on each other and having fun together!

Baby Yoga can help soothe colic, improve sleeping, stimulate your baby’s mental and physical abilities and develop breathing capacity. It can soothe crying and develop bonding. We use fun exercises and songs and I demonstrate how to handle your baby with ease and confidence.

Two of the ten sessions are dedicated to Baby Massage. You will learn a simple full body massage routine using nourishing oils. Massage is a sensory experience for a baby and can help babies develop sensitivity to touch. It gives a sense of security and wellbeing. It can help ease discomfort, aid digestion and release tension. Massage helps develop good muscle tone, coordination and suppleness. It can help regulate breathing and strengthen the immune system. It also aids sleep, builds your baby’s confidence and is a wonderful way of bonding more closely.

The class provides a delightful time for you and your baby to relax and have fun - together and with other mums and their babies - leading to happy confident mums and babies!

You will need to have had your medical check-up six weeks after the birth.
Please ask your doctor’s or health visitor’s permission before joining the classes.
It is suitable for babies from 6 weeks to before crawling.
Please book in advance to avoid disappointment.

What to bring:
A towel for the baby.
Massage oils are provided.
Cushions, mats etc provided.
