I trained with the International Yoga
Teaching Organisation of FRYOG and am a member of the British Wheel of Yoga. In addition I
have a CertEd Teacher Training. I am a listed teacher on
Yoga UK.
I have also trained in various natural therapies including Aromatherapy,
Reflexology and Indian Head Massge with ITEC and The Raworth International
College of Natural & Sports Therapies.
I have broad experience in teaching yoga
and the natural therapies since 1986 in Adult and Further Education, schools
and commercial companies.
I have established my own yoga centre
called Greenfields in Normandy, Guildford. This is a beautiful
studio overlooking green fields where I hold my
classes, workshops and
massage treatments.
I
come from a dancing background and have wide experience in movement and body
awareness.
I find yoga wonderful for looking after
myself physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It is such a
healthy way to release stress and tension and offers people the chance to
slow down and give themselves some quality attention.
I love to see my students use the session to have some fun, release tension and relax – leaving
uplifted and peaceful!
For me yoga is about finding your
centre. Its a way of developing inner strength. Yoga is release – letting go
and
clearing away all the clutter you are carrying. Yoga is a way of getting to
know yourself through increased observation and awareness. Its an
opportunity to be with yourself – honestly and tenderly. Its a way of
peeling away the layers to discover your true essence. Yoga is about gradual
transformation through gentle attention and self love.
